Back to my very brief vacation... The Pacific coast line was worth the trip. The scenery was what I went for. The train went where cars don't have access. It is some of the most valuable real estate in our country.
Cliffs, pasturers ,sand beaches, one dolphin, a few cows, expanse of ocean. Miles of surf. A dazzling sunset. I mentioned the tent cities, the homeless people that I saw along the miles of tracks. LA ,too, was filled with lost people. The security is so tight
that you can only sit in the train station, if you have a ticket, and for only 2 hours. There is a security guard that you have to present your credentials to to get a seat in the protected , roped off area. When I was in the Seattle station, there were dogs
patrolling every 15 minutes. I thought that they were looking for drugs. They were searching for explosives ! Even though my vacation was all of two days, I'm glad that I went. I should start thinking about my next vacation. Wonder who is striking next.
