If I labeled my DiL as a whirling dervish yesterday, today, we all caught what she had. This place was a hub of activity. The cages came off of the last 3 fruit trees. We think that the fencing is secure and no deer can get
a free meal here, anymore. We had our family brunch, which is getting simpler and simpler as we get closer to the wedding. We had that trip to Costco where I thought I bought a brick of Irish butter. When
I got home, unwrapped it and decided to take a bite of that really good butter... it was cheese. I didn't notice that it very unclearly said "cheese " on the wrapper. . I was disappointed , but the cheese
is great. That is what we had for brunch. Cheese, crackers ,fruit and coffee. Then, all hands on deck. I TSP'd my trailer, the kids moved the remaining tent over my deck( it looks terrific there),more weeding, pruning, raking, and my fav job..mowing. It is the
first mow of the season, so I did some hand clipping around the stepping stones, just because. The yard looks wonderful, the sun came out and it would have been a perfect day for a wedding. The final job, and it really wasn't a job, was to try on a huge plastic
flower wreath on Ella Faye , the massive golden elephant that is an important part of the yard. It was a dress rehearsal for her because we know that it will rain before the actual wedding and we want her flowers to be fresh. I have pictures showing her in
all of her plastic glory.
