I would wait for him to get a week end pass and travel from Biloxi, Mississippi to New Orleans. In those days, he usually hitched a ride with some other service man. Now I wait in doctor's offices for our appointments. I like being early. It's a curse. If
an appointment is at 2 o'clock, I leave the house to be there at 1:45 or earlier. And then I wait. I know that I will have to wait, but I still do this. My father was an early riser. I wonder if this is a genetic thing. My mother wasn't. Our kids are
early risers.Most of our Grandkids are night people and then they compensate by sleeping in. And , another thing, what does it mean to sleep in? Who sleeps out? Don't answer that.
