ON THE BACK BURNER

Every time I see one of those motor homes, I get the urge to get one and take a road trip. I understand that driving in the family mini van and staying in B&B's or in motels is more practical, but I still look at them and get a vision of traveling freely, making a PB &J sandwich at some beautiful road side stop. I just don't see me at the wheel. That could be a problem. I am a great parallel parker. But I can't back up in a straight line. I don't seem to be able to drive forward into a parking space and get between the white lines, on the first try. But I am great at parallel parking. I think I would need these skills to be a successful motor home driver. I registered on line for a monthly newsletter from a motor home company. They are a tight community. It does look like fun. I have a plan to drive to N.O. with a Grandson doing the driving. This way, Cricket can come along. She's never been on a trip. She and Bob can look out of the window, a grandson will drive and I will make PB&J sandwiches on white bread. Put this in my short bucket list.

PS, for those who read me on this site..I will only be posting on my Face Book page. So transfer over to that. Thanks.
