ON THE BACK BURNER

I just watched a video of an Aliyah (people going to live in Israel) plane load from the States. That's the Nefesh B Nefesh group that I still read every day. This group made the flight this month. There were at least 100 children on board and they all seemed happy. I think that they must have drugged them. This never happens when I fly and there are kids on board. I always search for the oldest looking person on these flights. I compare myself to their looks. One woman was 90. She waited for the right time to make Aliyah and this was that time. She looked good. She'll have many productive years in Israel. Lucky her. I also look to see if any dogs are on board. There was one that I saw. He looked happy , too. I understand that you are advised not to sedate your pet for these trips. I guess you can sedate your child, but not the dog. That would work for me. In fact, it might be a good idea to sedate me if I take such a long flight. I am always intrigued by how beautiful all of the young people are who are going. There's not a homily person in the group. Is there a contest to only take the youngest, handsomest kids on these flights. And throw in a few old ladies and pets for interest. That must be it. It sure gets my attention and makes me want to be on board with them. That's so sneaky.
