Elvis isn't in the house ,but the garlic is in the ground. I have given it a good send off and now I wait. And wait. I did inspire my Colorado daughter to plant some, too. It's been a long time since I have given advice to her, but I shared all of my knowledge concerning garlic and now it's up to her and her garlic. I spent a few hours cleaning and organizing the hundreds of empty plastic flower containers that my landscape DiL has accumulated from years of gardening. I wondered if there was any resale value to all of them. I also cut back some of the more thorny bushes that surround the fenced garden. Those things are wicked and violent . They attack , even through gardening gloves. And can tear clothes. At least once a year I take a pair of clippers with me on my doggie walks. Some of these invasive thorny things are just at Dixie's eye level and I need to get  to them before she walks into a stray vine and scratches her eye.I try to be mindful of where she is walking, but sometimes I miss and she walks into a boulder or bush. I am her seeing eye person and I hate when she does that and it's because of my being distracted. She accepts my apology and the treat that I carry with me.
