We got a ribbon. Well, not exactly a ribbon, but a red tag that said" second prize". That's good enough for me. The bad thing about the showing of our quilt is that there are little old women who go around saying" don't touch the exhibit". Ours is an interactive wall hanging that you have to touch. There are hanging items that have to be turned so you can see both sides. And there is a mirror that lets you see yourself as a wonder woman. The quilts shared space with knits, crochet items, baking, jams and liquors., weaving and sewing projects. The liquors surprised me. There was some good looking vodka exhibits. I think the judges had to sample.Next year, I am going to make rugala and maybe hamentashen. Bet they haven't seen that at a Jefferson County Fair in Port Townsend, Washington, home to less than 8000 people.
