Today I went to a surgeon, for a consult. I had had two procedures on my wrist,in the same incision ,for squamous cell , a preform of Cancer. On the first incision, I had 17 stitches. It looked like a cross stitched bracelet. The edges were deemed  clear, but less than a week into healing, some more popped up. That was another incision ,in the first incision. Just 3 stitches , this time, and all borders were clean. Just to be sure, I went to a surgeon today for him to look at both the history, the healing and some rough bumps on the incision. All good and healing continues. But here's the rub. This doctor looked young enough to be one of my grandsons.Maybe even younger than my grandsons. Are doctors getting younger. I've heard that you should get a doctor who is younger than you are, so he doesn't retire, just when you need him the most. I say him, but she works just as well in this context.I always read the diplomas and Board Certifications that hang in medical offices. That is how I found out that my dentist uses his middle name as his last name. His real last name has a lot of consonants and tell his ethnicity pretty quickly. My new surgeon looks like he still needs a hall pass to walk between exam rooms. I'm counting on him to have turned in all of his homework and graduated with Honors.
