I am back in PT . My flight was easy, but long. I wanted to sedate Dixie for the trip, but had to give her the sedative just at the right time, so she would be sleepy when we boarded the plane. My plan was to give it to her
at the airport, about 40 minutes before boarding. It turned out that the wheel chair attendant came too late and it was rush, rush, after I had been sitting and waiting for an hour for the chair. I had
been to dinner the night before and my hostess gave me a couple of slices of the roast to eat on the plane. I had no intention of sharing this with Dixie, but I couldn't find the cheese stick that I had brought for the pill, so I gave Dixie just a tiny piece
of the meat, wrapped around a tiny piece of pill. Some how, she managed to eat the meat and spit out the pill, so I had to wrap another piece of my roast around the pill to get her to take it. It worked , but I was now short changed with my piece of roast.
Dixie was one lucky dog . Between the tasty meat and the quarter pill, she was a happy camper and slept all the way to Seattle. I guess the roast slice went to a good cause. I still had another piece that I didn't tell Dixie about.
