My daughter told me about her trip to the post office ,in Jerusalem. Her description of what was going on there reminded me of an old  comedy routine" who's  on first, I don't know, He's on second." Seems that because of Covid, you need to make an appointment at the post  office.  To do justice to that appointment, I am waiting for her to write it out for me .Saturday Night Live can use it for a skit. But what I really want to tell is about an argument that was on going when she got to the PO. An agent and a customer were having an involved argument, a shouting match. It was about something that the customer wanted to do , but the agent wasn't allowing it. The argument was getting louder and louder and finally the agent finished the yelling match by saying to the customer," you are a disappointment to your mother." I love it. She didn't bring dishonor to his mother, but switched it around, to dishonor him. no more  of "your mother is........ blankedy blank ", but  "you are a disappointment. " How can you come back after being put down like that. Everyone wants to make their momma proud, so if you didn't live up to momma's expectation, that was a low blow. I wonder if it will ever come up in a conversation when I can use that statement.
