ON THE BACK BURNER

Jan. 4

Every day, well , since the first of January , I have made a to do list. What I don't finish that day,I put at the top of the list for the next day. I am almost caught up. The one hold up is the ebike. I planned to ride today, but the wind was particularly  strong. In fact, my neighbors two plastic trash container, that are large enough for me and a friend to get into ,if we needed to,  flew from their outdoor storage place to in front of my door. That reminded me of a story that Bob wrote in college and for which he won a prestigious   award , the Hopwood Award. The story was called"world on my doorstep" The story line is that the home owner woke up in the morning to find the world on his door step. I woke up to find not one, but two garbage cans at my front door. Not exactly the same, but still, I thought of Bob's story. Since I didn't bike, I had the time to carry ,from the car to my little plot of garden in the front of my unit, 60 lbs of marble chips. I am doing a zero scape and that is my first step. I have another 20 lbs,in the trunk, but I couldn't lift any more . I think my rock fetish came with me from PT.

Don't quite know how this got to me but it was on the top line of my computer (not in email) But I really enjoyed it. I truly admire you.

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
