Today was yard sale day. Naturally, it rained for the first few hours of the day. That doesn't even bother me any more. Before we left for the first sale, I was seeding again. The rain was a little uncomfortable as it dripped
down my neck, but it was perfect for grass seed. I did make an announcement to no one that if this seed doesn't take, I'm getting sod. Our first sale was near a floating bridge. The Hood Canal Bridge. It joins two islands and it is the shortest way to get
to Seattle from here, by car, if you don't want to go out of your way. Sorta like the Sunshine Bridge. This bridge is different. It is on pontoons and floats with the twice a day tide. The tides are significant around here. And, something that I want to see,
but haven't yet, is submarines , on this canal, being escorted by 4-6 support ships in front and the same number in the back. They go to a government owned island that we can see from PT, that is a nuck base. I guess that I should feel safe, but it feels a
little scary being so close. That base is why I hear those Growler plans doing their thing a couple of times a month. Noise abuse . Our yard sales involved a whole community , called Diamond Point. After
the clouds lifted, you had a straight view of Mount Rainer. The homes weren't much, but that view made the real estate untouchable . We met a man at one house, who had his very old golden lab on a leash. We were talking " dog" and I noticed this capsule on
the dogs harness. The dog liked to wander and the capsule could be picked up by the guys smart phone. The end of the story is that is how the man met his present wife, who owns the house that we were standing in front of. I guess love stories are where you
least expect them. Good dog.
