I went to the county dump today.I had been looking forward to this for a few weeks. I am making a fence of branches and I am surprised by how many branches you need for it. I ran out. My son told me that I might be able to get some tree cuttings at the dump. He had a wagon trailer full of yard wastes to get rid of. I went along for the ride. The dump weighs you as you come in and weighs you when you leave. The dump was so clean and orderly that I was a little disappointed. I thought I might be able to find some pliable tree branches and some treasure that I could just pick up. Not so. Everything was organized into yard wastes, garbage, toxins, mattresses. I didn't see or smell anything unpleasant. I got a few branches, but the big fork lift machine was putting what ever came in ,in nice piles, before I could get a go at them. And I was afraid of the fork lift. So now , my fence , which looks really good, is only about 12 inches high. What I was able to get will probably make it another 5-8 inches higher. I have to decide how high I want to go. Maybe I can do it on the installment plan.
