The absolute worse thing is happening. I am reading a book that I can't put down.  l hate it when that happens. I just want to sit until I finish , but I have commitments that have to be filled. Like the Noodle and his walks. And getting the garbage ready for a Monday pick up. These are things that have to be addressed before I can go back to reading. That is the problem with reading. It can take over your life. I learned to read before i went to kindergarten. In my Grandmothers Kosher boarding house for men, there was a man who worked for the local paper, The Times Picayune. I thought that he was an editor, but that might not have been his job. He brought me home the front pages of the newspaper , with large headlines.  I would cut out the headlines and make sentences.  I don't remember  actually learning to read. I just did. I read quickly, which isn't always a good thing.  I skip over some details and I don't always retain what i have read. I think people who read slower, retain longer . And I skip to the end a lot to see how mystery books end. I do go back and fill in the blanks. I am too impatient sometimes. I can't imagine  life without reading. I always wonder if you haven't read in a long time, like a language that you don't use, do you forget how to read. That would be sad. Noodle, I promise, just one more chapter.!

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
