I am trying to figure out why a restaurant would advertise "Home Cooking". Why would someone want to go out to eat and chose a home cooked meal. ? When I go out to eat, I want a restaurant that has a chef and cooks food that I don't cook at home. Like
a dish with many steps. Most of our meals involve two steps. Salt and pepper a piece of protein and throw it in the oven at high heat. I love cook books and I really like to cook, but after 63 years of cooking dinners, with time off for traveling and going
out to eat,I get tired of thinking what to fix. I have noticed that more of my friends have husbands who do the cooking. How did they do that? I am thinking backwards to my Father.. The joke in our house was that if my Mother were not home, he couldn't find
the refrigerator. Then there is my husband. He use to be a cracker jack oatmeal maker. Grandchildren asked for it. It was that good. I would say that his skill ends there. Then there is our son.. he can do some creative cooking given the raw ingredients. Cooking
