September 9

I am not taking this lightly, but it has been nice hearing from so many caring family and friends. I can understand why one could be reluctant to leave their homes, even when everyone around them is in a frenzy. This makes me even more in awe of people who have left everything they held dear and immigrated to a completely different country, different culture, different language. How brave they were. And are. I always thought that I would be the first to leave if I sensed a political overthrow. Seeing that I am still sitting in my living room as a category 5 storm is on the horizon.. would I go. I am staying because I really have a gut feeling, that we will not get a direct hit, but wind and rain. Maybe I will be wrong, I hope not. Anyway, we have been invited to Shabbat dinner tonight with friends, and I don't want to miss it.

Don't quite know how this got to me but it was on the top line of my computer (not in email) But I really enjoyed it. I truly admire you.

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
