I got a call from the city's emergency response saying that sand bags will be available and gave me the locations. Then I got another call telling me that Albee Farm Rd . was flooded from Bird Bay to Lucaya . These are my streets of choice when I come and go from Bird Bay. These messages are getting a little to close to home. Right after Katrina, I signed up and passed the requirements from the Red Cross to open and run a shelter to house people affected by the hurricane. When I got the call to go, they wanted a three week commitment . I could commit to two, but not three weeks. We were living with and helping our daughter and her family and I felt that I could leave Bob for that time only. So, I had to pass up that mitzvah. But a son, son in law and daughter did go and help, two as first responders and one as a clean up crew member. Now the Red Cross is once again setting up shelters and helping provide services, this time for Harvey. I still can't go to help them, but my prayers and thoughts are with them as they do the work that they are trained to do.

Don't quite know how this got to me but it was on the top line of my computer (not in email) But I really enjoyed it. I truly admire you.

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
