You take a perfectly good start to a day and then watch it fall apart. I think that this describes traveling in a nutshell. You bring your kids (they are still kids) the 60 miles to the airport, say your goodbyes, leave them and then drive the 60 miles home. Then the call comes. Their flight is cancelled and if they don't get to their international flight in Newark, they are stuck until Sunday. I'm no good at this. I haven't had enough experience with cancelled flights or over booked flights. Fortunately, they were on their cell phone and making alternative plans. How does a flight to New York ,then a cab to Newark sound. As far as I have heard, they are up to the cab ride. This reminds me of that TV program when you get a clue, then have to find your way to the next destination. My day is ended with the sun sinking and the sky a beautiful pink, I sure hope that theirs ends as peacefully.. but on a fast plane to Israel.

Don't quite know how this got to me but it was on the top line of my computer (not in email) But I really enjoyed it. I truly admire you.

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
