I like certain times of the day. I especially like early mornings and then after the sun is setting. At our cottage, we use to sit on the deck and enjoy that twilight time. In the part of Michigan where we had our cottage,on the tip of where eastern and central time zones almost overlapped, it stayed light until almost ten o'clock. That was a long twilight and we would just sit and enjoy the sky show. On the nights that we had a beach fire, we had to wait a long time to start our fire. There is something about a fire in the dark that is more exciting then a day light fire. This made me think of a time when we had a tree trimmer out. We left to do shopping and when we came home, the tree trimmer was standing neck deep in our lake. The dummy wanted to burn what he was trimming so he wouldn't have to cart it away and he used gasoline to start a fire in our fire pit. The gas backed up as he poured it on the pit and he was burnt. That was a lesson our kids learned that day . We always doused our fires before we went back into the cottage, but they stayed hot for hours after that. A neighbor kid ran barefoot into our pit one day. That was not pretty. Funny how one memory triggers another that you haven't thought about in years. Long term memories are good, most of the time.

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
