I have an obsession with gecko's. In fact, I seem to have one right now as a house pet. I've opened my sliders, I've tried the old broom trick, but I can't get it to a door to ease it out of my life. They seem so dinosaur-ish, so prehistoric . We seem
to have a large population of them around our condo. Some are so small, that I worry they will not survive. Who is their predator. Not me. I go out of my way to help them along. I notice some without much tails. Were they in a fight? Did the tail get caught
in a screen door? What's their function. I actually saw one catch and eat a very small moth. The moth was still alive and moving as the gecko took it's last swallow. That was certainly a survival instinct. In the South, we called such creeping things camellians.
They were known to change colors depending on their surface. I don't think these are the same, but definitely they are related. Is this what a dinosaur looked like a million years ago. What did it do that it was punished to remain on earth as a little nuisance.
