I need to say good bye to Poppie. Poppie was a troubled dog who lived six months of every year as my next door neighbor. My Canadian neighbor and I had a system that worked. When she was out with Poppie, I didn't take my dog out. When I was out, I turned on my outside light, and she didn't take Poppie out. Poppie really liked me. I could pick her up, I could sweet talk her and she would melt at my feet. She just didn't like most everybody else or their dog. She was honest. If she didn't like you, she let you know, immediately. When she was taken for a walk, you went to the other side of the street. When Charlie 2 was alive and we happened to be out at the same time, the two dogs went wild trying to get to each other. Poppie disliked every dog in our development. She was an equal disliker, no favorites. She also ate the furniture, or door jam if she was left alone. My neighbor would board her once a week so she could play golf and not come home to an anxious dog who had eaten part of a table leg. Yes, Poppie was a strange dog, but she was loved and a companion to my neighbor for 13 years. That's a long time to test someones patience. But I'll miss her. She liked me.And she knew that I liked her.

Everything sounds so wonderful Leona. Venice will seem boring . I would want to move to Portownsend where the kids are living. All sounds great . Is there?
